Mugly leapt out of the lounge window and ran. He couldn't be found anywhere. Everyone was looking out for him, family, neighbours even the local dog warden. Posters went up and the local paper even offered to help. We were all so worried.
Thankfully, later that day a lady contacted us to say she had Mugly at her house, she went on to say that she had rescued him from a group of five 11-15 year olds who were punching kicking and hitting him with a stick in the local park.
We went to collect him and took him to the vets for a good check-up, he was very lucky to have escaped with just bruises and a couple of sores, they had even pulled out his only tuft of hair!
We will always be grateful to that brave lady who waded in and rescued him from these vile youths.

Mugly's bruises are really coming out now, he is tender but doing well. He is wanting and getting loads of cuddles. He is a little jumpy but he is doing really well.
We would like to thank everyone for their good wishes.

MESSAGE FROM MUGLY!
Thank-you everyone for all the pressies I have received. My Mummy is going to take some of them to Wood Green Animal Shelter as she says I have no room for anymore toys and if I eat all the treats I will get very fat. The garden is also not big enough to bury any more bones! So thanks for the thought but no more please!
I am feeling much better now, all my bruises are almost gone, sore bits are healed. I am a bit jumpy but Mum is carrying on as normal and I am a happy dog again!
Thank-you everyone for making me feel so special and I agree I'm CUTE not UGLY!
Woof & a big lick!
